Z.C. Chleboun While this album is very short, I associate these two tracks with being way too high while cat/house sitting alone for my best friend just before his untimely death. They had a powerful affect on me before everything went dark, and I return to be haunted by them often. Lowline hits. Most days are bad, thank God we have musicians like Shota Abeki. Favorite track: 地下公園・Lowline.

Karl Grundmann This encapsules long walks somewhere between neon lights reflected from wet tarmac and the sober morning light on white plaster. Favorite track: 歪んだ部屋・The Bent Room.

ajatuslapsi This is seriously an impressive ambient Ep! I could listen to this much longer, however there are only two tracks. There's a lot going on without the Ep sounding overproduced/-composed. Another proof that Japan has many talented ambient artists.

abdonoval Short, but sweet. A really wonderful release from Muzan and Hegira Moya. Favorite track: 歪んだ部屋・The Bent Room.

Hegira Moya from Tokyo joins Muzan Editions with a combination of synths, guitar loops and field recordings. It all starts like a daydream. Gentle synth sounds paired with meditative guitar loops swirling through the air. Later on he takes us on a stroll around what feels like a subterranean park built underneath Tokyo. Sounds coming from the left and right keeping the listener in the dark until a simple but enchanting melody shows the way back up.
