Osaka’s Synth Sisters join Muzan Editions with two powerful tracks. “Natural Thing” sees the Sisters’ typical lush synth sound combined with a piano melody from another time culminating into a cosmic wall of sound. In contrast, “She Sang” with its serene synthscapes and transcendental timbres leaves us with a more tranquil sentiment.

Nikmis’s “Rule Against That” opens slowly, like a growing whisper before a great event. And then, with FM synth stabs, lush pads, and cascading arpeggios, we find ourselves standing witness: cities of sound, soaring and intricate, spacious and delicately-wrought, appear before us as in a dream, imagination filling their streets and towers and gardens with the bustle and warmth of life - a fully realized fantasy for the listener to wander, inhabit, and, indeed, get lost in.
